“Only through our connectedness can we really know and enhance the self. And only through working on the self can we begin to enhance our connectedness to others.” - Harriet Goldhor Lerner

As a therapist, I see it as an honor to support clients through a variety of life experiences such as anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, depression, grief, and difficulty adjusting to life changes.

I work with individuals as well as couples using a variety of approaches including Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method to heal the painful experiences keeping them stuck and holding them back. Additional models I integrate into the work at times are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

I feel especially passionate about working with first responders and members of the military community. Before starting my career as a therapist I earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Meredith College and a Master of Social Work from East Carolina University.
